A bit about us

We are a purposefully small business, creating a new way of working for a new way of living.  The Naked Build Company was set up in 2020, in response to the need for a more natural way of life; honed around health & well-being and true sustainability.  Design and construction can and needs to play a bigger part in the planet and place where we live.

About us
We bring together experience

We bring together experience in the built and natural environment, but firmly believe that business is about people first and how we interact together and that with purpose and passion we can all make a difference.  We are all capable of being the change we want to see.

Our creative buildings dare to capture carbon as part of the green space we need for healthier well-being.  They integrate green roofs and living walls and open up ideas for new materials, which reduce, reuse, and recycle.  The time is ripe to grasp the opportunities for a work life balance and also to lean-in to nature and what it can teach us.

Our creative buildings

It’s time to reconnect with nature, the environment and ourselves.  We can all do more for nature in our own backyard.

Chris

I firmly believe in the positive challenge that the planet appears to be showing us.  A more sustainable life is a far better one.  Having spent my work in design and construction and the natural world, I feel in a fortunate position to be able to combine them. To dress our buildings in nature is to accept that we are part of nature.  Chris says that; ‘our living spaces can work far better for ourselves, nature and the planet’.

Chris is so passionate and patient and he took our ideas on journey we didn't believe were possible.

We weren't sure whether to commission a building survey, but we're so glad we did. We didn't realise just how much is useful advice it provides. Thank you, you were excellent.

I wish we'd built our house using the timber framed, high density straw fibre system; we spend all our time in our garden extension. It's warmer, drier and healthier.
